Nuru is a Japanese full-body massage that uses a thick, slick gel — traditionally made from nori seaweed — to allow the companion to slide her entire body against yours with almost no friction. It is closer to body-to-body than to therapeutic massage, and the gel is the defining element: without it, the technique does not work. Both parties are unclothed, the surface is covered with a waterproof sheet, and the room needs to be warm.

Companions on the Vaurel roster who offer nuru have the equipment and the experience to do it properly. Genuine nuru gel, the right temperature, a setup that does not leave the client cold or the room a mess afterwards. A small number of companions do this regularly; most do not. If a profile lists it, the concierge can confirm whether the booking is incall to a room already set up for nuru, which is by far the easier route, or outcall with the companion bringing the materials.

Practical: shower beforehand, allow 90 minutes minimum, and expect to shower again afterwards — the gel needs to come off properly. Tell the concierge if you have done nuru before or if it is the first time, because the companion will pace the session differently depending on the answer. Both incall and outcall are possible, but incall is recommended for a first booking.
